The main problem people face when deciding whether to cut the
cord is how they can access the Internet from home if they cancel their cable
TV subscription.
Since most cable companies combine Internet access with cable TV
and landline phone subscriptions, finding a company that provides only Internet
access is sometimes challenging.
However, there are options. On a hobby farm from our family
city, 45 minutes away from the metropolitan area, there is only one option for
cable. Since we decided to take a cable subscription since we moved, we are no
longer interested in doing business with an available provider.

Fortunately there is a provider who has given us internet access
and landline phone access without having to buy a cable provider (we want to
keep our landline).
Best ways to get internet without cable
1.Frontier communication
Frontier Communications is the company which provide ISP
service. They are headquartered in New York City, but they serve different
parts of the country.
You can choose from a few different plans for Internet
service only.
Simply Broadband Core
The Simple Broadband Core Plan costs $ 20 per month (with a 2
year contract) and gives you 6 Mbps internet and a free Wi-Fi router for 2
years. This is a good plan for light users.
Simply Internet ultra
Simply Internet Ultra Plan costs $ 25 per month (with 2 year
contract) and gives you internet speeds of up to 12 Mbps. This speed is good
for gamers and streamers who need good download and upload speed.
Simply Internet Elite
The Simply Internet Elite Plan costs $ 35 per month (same 2 year
contract) and gives you internet speeds of up to 25 Mbps. This plan is best for
most users running multiple devices at once.
Note that not all plans are available in all areas with Frontier
and all ISP providers. If you live in a rural area like ours, you may be stuck
with a low Mbps plan, depending on the type of equipment installed in your
area.
Due to our rural location, we have been stuck with the Core Plan
for some years through Frontier, but upgraded last year due to a county-wide
upgrade to the Ultra-Plan.
2. Verizon Fios
The Verizon FiOS Internet-only service is currently widely
available on the East Coast in New York, Virginia, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania
and a few other options.
Verizon Fios offers something along with various plans.
Verizon Plan $ 39.99
This plan with Verizon costs, as you probably estimate, per
month. 39.99. With this plan you get a discount of up to 100 Mbps, which is
enough for avid users. This exclusive online exclusive contract is a 1-year
commitment (or they have a 2-year commitment, where they waive the setup fee)
and saves $ 10 per month over the regular price.
Verizon $ 79.99 Plan
Verizon's $ 79.99 plan gives you speeds of up to 940/880 Mbps,
and as of this writing is a special offer, Netflix's 1 free year. Under the
second plan, this is a 1-year commitment offer, but Verizon will waive the
setup fee for you if you choose a 2-year commitment.
3. AT&T
AT&T has packages that include the Internet and Direct TV,
although they only have Internet plans. The Internet provides AT&T plans
for only $ 40 per month and Internet speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
4. Xfinity by Comcast
Comcast's Xfinity Internet service is available in various US
cities, including the Minneapolis area, New York, San Francisco, Phoenix,
Miami, Atlanta, and more.
Their Internet service plans vary depending on where you live.

Display Plus Internet
This is the only Xfinity Internet plan in the Minneapolis area
with no TV subscription. Its price per month. 29.99, and you get a download
speed of 60 mb for that price. Under this plan you can use up to 5 devices at
once, and if you use more than 1TB of data, you will incur additional data
charges.
5. Century Link
CenturyLink Internet service is currently available in more than
30 US states, including:
Century Link 20 Mbps Plan
The plan offers speeds of up to 20mbps and costs $ 45 per month.
This is a contract, site-wise price for a life plan.
Century Link 40-80 Mbps Plan
This writing speeds up to 80mbps and costs $ 45 per month if you
can get the online-exclusive offer available as of this writing. If not, you
pay $ 55 per month for life, without contract. CenturyLink says it is a great
project for online gamers and video chat fans.
Century Link 100-140 Mbps Plan
The plan provides up to 140 mbps and can support 10+ devices.
The price? $ 60 per month if you can make an online special, otherwise it is $
65 per month. Again, there is no agreement with this plan.
