When they see us

When they see us Netflix Miniseries is one of the biggest television events of the year - the famous Tight-Lace Streaming Service has announced that it has seen over 23 million accounts and won 16 Emmy Awards. Nominated for, eventually won two awards. It is one of  the best TV shows 2019 on Netflix. It tells the story of a boy called the Central Park Five, and then, in 1989, after a young banker was jailed for raping the Exonerated Five, a real rapist confessed. It's heartbreaking and heartbreaking, but it's a must watch, especially for Jor Jerome's Emmy-winning performance as Corey Wise. - Gabrielle Bruni

Bojack horseman

In the sixth and final season of Bojack Horseman, we pick up where the previous season ended: everyone's favorite Equine sitcom star checked out Beach Side Rehab, determined to kick his booze, and his beloved Farewell to Fans. What follows is a trailing season, where the inside-out appearance is usually outward, widening the lens to ask what we can give each other. Although the characters are largely isolated from one another and moving along the paths of personal development, their journey makes for a harmonious story. Together they can get our heads out of our own asses - how to build a life of accountability and service to others. Seeing these characters face more selflessly, watching them grow outwardly monumental through life, and moving towards the end where the show seems to begin. Is far away. - Ardin Westenfeld

Euphoria

Prior to HBO's Euphoria - the unnamed, usually tropical teen romance-room-in-the-world that follows a group of Zen-jers - funny and non-tragic, heartfelt-but-cruel relationships appear and grow in his voice. This is a very laborious watch. You can't follow ketamine-dripping teens and locker room dicks for more than an hour. But after two episodes, Euphoria has stopped trying to shock the children and instead focuses on its protagonist, Rue - played by a wonderful Zendaya. It gave us these inventive, surreal moments - like an old-school detective thriller in Rue's Ventic - "I turn abruptly because I'm Morgan Salah Freeman, and this is the beginning of the third act), or Dick Pick." Seminars to end Pick Seminars. The results? We haven't seen on TV yet about the generation born after 9/11. —Brady Longman

Mindhunter

Save for playing in our current true-crime-rampant culture, it's no surprise that Netflix's Mind Hunter is hitting it off. The blink of an eye you can't watch streaming is all about: often slow, plodding, think-y, kicking and cigarette smoke. Creep Speed Mindhunter follows the FBI's Behavioral Sciences Department when interviewing serial killers nationwide. David Fincher's big TV splash - Jonathan Graff's incredible (but never worrying) role as special agent Holden Ford - is only improving in season two, where we finally see the big crooks. I met one of them, Charles Manson. -Brady Longman

Chernobyl

This joint BBC and HBO production is not only one of the best TV shows of 2019; it is one of the best TV shows ever. This is IMDb’s all-time top-rated series, and will turn on the Emmys with 10 wins and 19 nominations. The true story of the 1986 disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant gave the life of the Soviet Union the most difficult details of the 1980s, for all (with the ever-realistic-realistic gore) to present local danger lines. The world has become a disaster.
